Tansterne Advanced Biomass Power Plant : Update 15 January 2018

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

The Plant is going through the final stages of the Commissioning process.

Over the next few days we will be testing the Plant safety valves. To do this we need to vent steam into the atmosphere from the boiler’s vent silencer. The testing should only take one day to complete and will result in short bursts of noise, normally over a period of a couple of hours being emitted. It is not something we can avoid but will not be part of routine operation.

We appreciate that this may cause you some disruption and will do our best to limit this as much as possible. We will undertake this activity only during daylight hours and will complete it as quickly as safety permits.

Thank you for your patience during the development of this project. If you have any queries please contact us via and one of our staff will do their best to assist you.
